Want your mind blown?... here's a little #TBT to 13.4 billion years ago.🤯This is an image of the farthest galaxy ever seen, GN-z11, and shows how it looked just 400 million years after the Big Bang. Here's some more mind-blowing perspective: "It takes so long for light to travel across the universe that when we observe a galaxy located near the edge of the cosmos, we are seeing it as it appeared more than 13 billion years ago. With the help of modern telescopes, we literally can peer back in time to see how the universe looked shortly after some of the earliest galaxies formed. Furthermore, in just a few short years, we may even glimpse the formation of the first galaxies themselves" - Astronomy MagazineImage Credit: @nasa#ig_nightphotography#astrophotography#universetoday#nightscape#fs_longexpo#longexpoelite#backyardastronomy#igworldclub_astrophotography#starrynight#milkywaygalaxy#stargazing#longexposure_shots#astrophoto#nightimages#milkywaychasers#nightshooters#natgeospace#night_shooterz#ig_astrophotography#longexpo#astronomyphotography#nebula#likeabos#nasa

The beauty of the 395 corridor. @tami_maddock and @tobiasweygint came with to get a early sunrise shot of the Eastern Sierra Nevadas after a storm that hit the area just days before. The area was cold as the storm was a very cold one dumping snow in elevations that dont typically see snow. The purpose was to see the Alabama hills in snow during sunrise but we were off by 20 mins and needed to find a spot to shoot before the color of the sunrise painted the landscape. So I knew of this abandoned area and hit that spot as a last resort and here is the result of the stop. #earth_fantasy#exquisiteearth#earthofficial#raw_skies#tgif_nature#igglobalclub#igworld_global#igworldclub_astrophotography#ig_masterpiece#ig_shotz_le#ig_exquisite#ig_california#ourplanetdaily#amazing_shots#amazing_click#awesome_earthpix#alluring_earthscapes#sky_captures#dream_image#bns_sky#bns_nature#bns_landscape#best_skyshots#master_gallery#dreamingtravel#depthsofearth#naturalcalifornia#californiacaptures

Matteo Norcia here (@astrofellow) signing off with my third and final post to end my UniverseToday Takeover. The Heart Nebula.“When you’re in love, you want to tell the world.” -Carl SaganI’d like to take the opportunity, with this photo so fitting, to say, once again, how much I love this hobby. I am going to try my hardest to turn it into a career, as I have finally found what I want to do for the rest of my life. When I’m out there tracking down objects that are billions, trillions, quadrillions of miles away, capturing them, then going home to edit and stare at the hidden beauty in my images I am overcome with a joy that I have never felt before. Happiness filled with pride, in seeing my work and knowing that I accomplished it. That I put the time and effort in for the final result. That I am striving to perfect this craft, and seeing my progress along the way. When I reveal the wonders behind the darkness, and see what lies within the photograph, a feeling of home surfaces. If anyone has an interest in this, give me a follow and I will share my knowledge and my advice. (:@astrofellow It was my pleasure to share my photos with you all! How honored I feel! Thank you so much for viewing!--------------The Heart is an emission nebula, and lies about 7,500 light-years away from Earth, in the constellation Cassiopeia. From end to end it is some 330 light-years across. The intense and beautiful glow of red light is due to its most prominent element of hydrogen within the nebula. Located in the center of the Heart is a cluster of young stars. A few of those stars are nearly 50 times the mass of our Sun!--------------166 x 60s exposures (2h 46m total) at 2000 ISO under a RI Bortle 4 sky, 32 darks and 35 flats, with an unmodded Nikon D7100, William Optics Z61, on a Skyguider Pro--------------#astronomy#astrophotography#stargazing#nasa#outerspace#nebula#astrophoto#milkywaychasers#natgeospace#creativephotography#nightshooters#nikonusa#telescope#deepspace#astronomer#timelessuniverse#astrography#igworldclub_astrophotography#astrosprout#cool_capture_#checkthisout#heartshaped#photographylovers#apod#universe#exploreamerica#cosmos#wonder

This is a region within the Large Magellanic Cloud; NGC 2020 and some of its friends. M45 - Pleiades “The Pleiades is an open star cluster in the constellation Taurus that is sorrounded by a reflection nebula( the wispy dust like structure). The stars of the Pleiades are only about 100 million years old. Their hot blue light is being scattered( Rayleigh scattering) by the unrelated dust clouds that the cluster is moving through.” ..This image consists of 10 x 180” subs( 30 min) total integration time. I wanted a lot more, but, the things did not go to plan. And being alongside a road, 2 hours from Home well, it is what it is! I swear.... I am *almost* through all these Alabama hills shots!.The Magic of "Blue hour", or twilight. I've always loved how it paints the landscape a pretty blue/purple color. This time of year, the Milky Way core is setting before it gets dark, so it gave me some time to embrace this magical timeframe. .Side note #1 - as it got darker, my backpack fell over and i probably jumped a few feet into the air, as I thought it was an animal of some sort. This is a pretty remote area, so when it gets dark- it gets DARK. lol!.Side note #2 - oddly enough, I also had cell signal here. LOL.....#alabamahills#california#nightphotography#ig_color#igworldclub_astrophotography#darksky#optoutside#milkywaychasers#milkywayphotography#nightscape#nightscaper#landscapes#californialove#californiaroadtrip#traveltheworld#roamtocreate#exploretocreate#starrynight#astrophotography#longexposure#nikonnofilter#ig_shotz_dec19#ig_masterpiece#ig_captures#adventureawaits#staywild#cali#californiaadventure
